Your supplier files stay in your browser.

File parsing, comparison and workbook creation run locally in your browser. PriceTern does not send your uploaded files or comparison rows to a server. Clearing the workspace or closing the page discards the in-memory data.

What still leaves your device

The hosting service receives ordinary connection information needed to deliver the website, such as your IP address and requested page. If you email Carlos, your email provider transmits your message and any attachments you choose to include. Please do not email confidential supplier lists for a pilot enquiry.

No advertising trackers

No advertising pixels, session replay or product-row analytics are installed. If you arrive through a tagged campaign link, PriceTern keeps the campaign, source and medium in this browser session and attaches those labels to checkout so we can measure which outreach produced a sale. We do not claim that infrastructure logs are anonymous.

Saved report history

Saving a paid report sends the mapped comparison data, including prices and product codes, to the PriceTern database. Saved reports expire after 12 months and can be deleted earlier from the account. Original supplier files are not uploaded or retained by default. Stripe processes payment details; PriceTern does not store card numbers.
